General Questions

15 questions
What is Dropout Studio?

We're a web design and development studio that builds production-grade sites and storefronts — landing pages, websites and web apps, and Shopify e-commerce. Custom-coded, fast, and built to convert. No templates dressed up as 'custom,' no page-builder bloat. Just cool shit on the web that actually performs.

What makes Dropout Studio different from other agencies?

Fixed quotes (what we quote is what you pay), a call-free process that respects your time, real ownership of everything we build, and production-grade engineering instead of drag-and-drop templates. We move fast — most sites ship in 5–10 days — without the agency overhead, the endless meetings, or the surprise invoices.

Do you do discovery calls?

No — and that's on purpose. Instead of a scheduling marathon and an hour of sales theater, you fill out a short onboarding form. It captures everything we'd ask on a call, faster and in writing. We read it, send you a fixed quote, and get to work. Questions along the way get answered in writing, quickly.

Do you offer video editing, graphics, motion design, AI automation, or marketing?

Not yet — those are on the roadmap (coming soon). Today we're heads-down on three things we do exceptionally well: landing pages, websites and web apps, and e-commerce storefronts. We'd rather be great at three than mediocre at ten.

Are you a big team or a one-person shop?

We run lean and AI-accelerated — which is exactly how we ship production-grade work in days, not months. You get senior-level execution on every project, not a junior handed your account while a 'strategist' bills you for status calls.

Where are you based?

Dhaka, Bangladesh — working with clients both locally and internationally. The web doesn't care about timezones, and neither do we. Everything runs async, so geography is a non-issue.

What languages do you work in?

English and Bangla. Our chatbot replies in whichever you write in, and project communication happens in whatever's easiest for you.

What kinds of clients do you work with?

Startups, SMEs, and growing brands — from pre-launch founders to established businesses leveling up. We've built for fashion and apparel, perfume and self-care, education consultancies, marketing agencies, non-profits, and sustainability brands. If you need a site that looks legit and converts, you're our kind of client.

Can you show examples of your work?

Plenty. A few live ones: Enscented (perfume e-commerce), Aetheria Selfcare (wellness), Corvien (luxury scents), NordCycle (sustainability), Parbo Foundation (non-profit), Fermion and INADS (agencies), and Learnova (education). Check the work section on the homepage for the full lineup.

Can you work with our existing team or another agency?

Yes. We can run the whole build, slot into your existing team, or collaborate alongside another agency. We're not territorial — we care about shipping something great.

How do I contact you?

Email info@dropoutstudio.co for general questions or existing-project support. Ready to start something? Skip the email — the onboarding form is the fastest way in.

How are you different from Framer, Webflow, Wix, or Squarespace?

Those are rented platforms — you build inside their editor, host on their servers, and the site lives and dies with your subscription. We hand-code your site in SvelteKit and give you 100% of the code to host anywhere. Builders cap you at what their canvas allows; we build whatever the brief actually needs. Fixed quote, real ownership, production-grade engineering instead of drag-and-drop templates.

Why custom code instead of a website builder?

A builder ships generic, heavy markup that's fine until performance, SEO, or a feature their editor can't do starts costing you sales. Custom code means no template ceiling, no plugin tax, no "that's a higher-tier feature" — just a lean, fast site built exactly for your business. And it's yours: export it, move it, never get held hostage by a platform.

Isn't a builder good enough for a small business?

Honestly? For a quick hobby site, an MVP, or the cheapest-possible online presence — yes, a builder is genuinely fine, and we'll tell you so. The pitch changes when your site is a revenue asset. If it has to load fast, rank, convert, and not look like a template with your logo dropped in, you've outgrown what a builder gives you — and that's where a custom build pays for itself.

Can't I just add custom code to my builder to get the same thing?

Sort of, but with strings. On most builders custom code is gated to paid tiers and still runs sandboxed inside their platform — Squarespace blocks code injection on its entry plan, Webflow disables it on the free tier, and Wix's Velo can't leave the walled garden. You're bolting code onto a system you don't own, on top of a monthly bill. We just build the whole thing in real code from the start, and you own all of it.
